Studio News: 06/14/2010

Blissful Misery will enter the studio this week during the cool night hours to get the bass and drums recorded for The Madness.

During this time some guitar tracks may be recorded as well, but it’s not the priority right now.  Also, the vocal melody for the song will most likely see it’s update this week.

Probably around the the beginning of July the Blissful Misery will be back in the studio to finish the song.

For more information on Blissful Misery’s studio ventures check the studio journal.

New Store!

We have just opened our brand new Zazzle Store, and incorporated it directly into the site here. We currently have over 40 different products and will soon add a lot more to that.

For payment methods we are able to accept credit cards via Zazzle itself. I think they may accept PayPal as well, but I’m not sure yet. However, for anyone wishing to pay with a check or money order we will accept them, order your products, and have them sent to you when the check / money order has cleared in the bank.
We will be making an order form and instructions page soon for this.

Anyone wishing to buy something before then just use our contact form to let us know and a band representative will get back to you ASAP.

We also have several old stores on Cafepress, and we will be updating all of those very soon. Some of them may be deleted, but updates in some way will happen. Each shop on Cafepress follows a theme due to the service only letting one of each product be used per shop. Zazzle is great in that it lets you do what you want. The only fall back right now is that Zazzle doesn’t have CDR production / printing. We will continue to use Cafepress for anything of that sort most likely.

Now go find you an awesome Blissful Misery shirt or hat and wear it proud!

YouTube Update Notice

As of yesterday morning our YouTube has begun splitting from Unbounded Productions and Black Misery. The URL for our YouTube will stay the same, but the current content will be moved if feasible to its new respective home on one of the following accounts.

We decided to split the accounts, because we wanted to be able to have the Blissful Misery account devoted to Blissful Misery.  This should of happened long ago before we ever posted any other stuff on our account, but at that time we didn’t have the plans that we do now.

It’s Maddening

This was posted on MySpace a few minutes ago. I felt it should also be posted here on the site as well.

Right now the official Blissful Misery website  is being brought up to date. We still have a few things to get fixed on the site, but it should be done pretty soon.

I’m itching big time to get to work on the music again, but my plate is pretty full right now. I am working on a huge project for Unbounded Productions besides the band websites. However, starting next week I’m going to be taking at least one day a week to do nothing but work on music. This one day next week should be all I need to finish the new rewritten version of The Madness.

Ah, Yes, There it is! The Madness!

Like Blissful Misery The Madness has had an extremely long journey as well. It was the original title track and theme for the first 2 Blissful Misery EPs and first planned album. There’s been 2 versions of The Madness already released, but we won’t really mention those again.

The song has been one of the bands and fans favorites since it was originally written in 2002. While a total bitch in the studio the song is great to play live, and was always one of the high points in the few small shows the band played.

The Madness not only will be recorded from scratch when Blissful Misery enters the studio, but I will be making at least what I like to call a “Guitar Demo Video” for the song. I’m also hoping to get a real video for the song made as well.

Once the band’s venture in the studio with The Madness is finished the song will be released digitally on the internet. I’m also hoping to have an acoustic version of the song to release at the same time or soon there after. If both are recorded then a Single for The Madness will be released as well.

So what about the original The Madness Album?
Well, The Madness Album plans were scrapped. However, if and when all of the original tracks set to be on the album are recorded and released as single songs the album will be put together and released.

Blissful Misery is now working on a song by song policy, and is not working via schedules. This is felt to be the best approach to the band’s studio music, due to so much other stuff going on as well. As the title says It’s Maddening!

I’d like to now take time to thank everyone that has supported the band, and it’s music, over the years. Thank you so much.
